Ramen in Minato
Minato's ramen ranges from Ramen Jiro's original shop by Keio University in Mita to Shimbashi's salaryman counters and Roppongi's late-night bowls.

Minato ward covers some of Tokyo's busiest business and nightlife districts, and one of its most famous ramen addresses is a student one. The original Ramen Jiro stands in Mita, near Keio University: the home of the huge bowl of thick noodles, chunks of pork, a mountain of bean sprouts and cabbage, and garlic on request, which has inspired a whole genre of Jiro-style (Jiro-kei) shops across Japan. Its regulars, known as Jirorian, have their own way of ordering toppings.
Elsewhere in the ward, Shimbashi, the classic salaryman district by the elevated railway, is full of quick lunch counters and standing noodle shops. Roppongi and Azabu-Juban serve late-night bowls, and Hamamatsucho and Tamachi feed office workers.
