Using Soupmap

Restaurant information

Soupmap combines editorial notes with attributed open-data locations. Listings are not a guarantee that a business is operating or that its menu, prices, hours, accessibility or location are current. Check directly with the restaurant before relying on a detail. “Soupmap selection” describes an editorial record; it does not mean the restaurant has been verified on the ground.

Google Maps

By using Google Maps features within Soupmap, you are also bound by the Google Terms of Service and the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy applies to Google’s processing of information.

Google restaurant details remain attributed to Google Maps and their contributors. Do not remove attribution or assume that photos, reviews or other third-party content can be copied or reused.

Accounts and contributions

Keep your account access secure. Submit only content you have the right to share, and do not post another person’s private information, unlawful content or abusive material. A private note is different from a public field note; check the submission controls before sharing.

Sources and availability

Open-data licenses and limitations are listed on the credits page and individual records. Third-party services and site features may be unavailable or change. Guest records are stored on your device, so use available backup tools before clearing browser data.
